The Wharton First Aid Squad was established in 1951. Staffed by volunteers, all members must become N.J. State Certified Emergency Medical Technicians whose main purpose is to help all residents day or night, 365 days a year. Last year, the Wharton First Aid Squad responded to over 350 calls which included medical emergencies, traumas, pre-arranged transportation's to and from local hospitals and football stand-by's for the children of this town. The quickest way to get help is to dial 911 which will connect you with the local police. The police will respond at the same time the squad is called.
If you are interested in joining this team of committed personnel, speak to any member or contact the police department at 973-366-0557 and leave a message.
