ALCOHOL
The legal drinking age in New Jersey is 21.  It is unlawful to possess unsealed alcoholic beverage containers in any public place unless official permission has been granted.  Retail consumption is restricted during the following hours:  7:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.  State law prohibits the consumption of an alcoholic beverage by either the driver or a passenger while in a motor vehicle.  The possession of an unsealed alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle is also prohibited

CALL BEFORE YOU DIG
The "One Call Law" requires that anyone digging must call 1800-272-1000 so that underground utilities can be marked out.  You must wait 3 business days for your mark-out and not more than 10 days before you start your project.  Projects can vary from installing a mailbox post, to building a house.  Remember, IT IS THE LAW.

FIRE ARMS
The hunting of game and the discharge of firearms within the Borough limits are prohibited.  State Law requires the registration of firearms of any type.  Applications are handled by the Police Department.

GARAGE SALES

A permit must be granted in order for any type of garage sale, estate sale, tag sale, etc.  The fee for this license is five ($5.00) dollars.  A permit shall be issued to any one person only twice within a 12-month period and no such license shall be for more than three consecutive calendar days.

INCLEMENT WEATHER
Please note that during inclement weather, or other unforeseen emergencies, garbage, recyclable and yard waste may not be picked up until your next regularly scheduled day.  Our Public Works Department takes care of the roads to ensure your safety.  Please take your items in if they are not picked up.  We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience and understanding.

OPEN BURNING
The open burning of leaves and other debris is strictly prohibited.

PARKING
You may park your vehicle on any street that is not designed "NO PARKING" all year long.  However, whenever snow or any frozen precipitation has fallen and the accumulation is such that it covers the street, no vehicle shall be parked on any of the streets.  This condition shall remain in effect after the snow has ceased and until the streets have been plowed sufficiently.

SIGNS
It is unlawful for any person to erect, alter or relocate any sign as defined by Ordinance without first obtaining approval from the Zoning Official, except as exempt under provisions as defined in the Borough's Land Use Code.
