2017 Capital Projects

We are excited to announce the Borough's Proposed 2017 Capital Projects. The projects listed below are anticipated to be completed in 2017.  However, this is contingent upon obtaining the necessary funding and the final cost after accepting bids.  If the cost of completing the projects exceeds the capital budget, the Borough will adjust the roads to be improved to come in under the amount budgeted.  Roads that are not completed in this cycle will be moved to the following year’s plan. Road Projects for the Borough of Wharton are determined based upon several factors. First, the Borough completes an annual road rating program to determine the condition of our roads and curbing. Second, grant funding obtained for road improvements will impact the timing of the road improvements as a result of the grant conditions.
