Morris County Department of Human Services

The Morris County Department of Human Services provides: public assistance programs for healthcare, housing, food, and more, financial and emergency help through the Office of Temporary Assistance, access to mental health and substance abuse services, job training and support, prevention services for youth, support for veterans, disability services, transportation for elderly and disabled people, meals on wheels, adult protective services for vulnerable adults at risk of abuse

New Jersey Department of Human Services

The NJ Department of Human Services serves older New Jerseyans, individuals and families with low incomes; people with developmental disabilities, or late-onset disabilities; people who are blind, visually impaired, deaf, hard of hearing, or deaf-blind; parents needing child care services, child support and/or healthcare for their children; people who are dealing with addiction and mental health issues; and families facing catastrophic medical expenses for their children. Through their eight divisions, they provide numerous programs and services designed to give eligible individuals and families the help they need for economic and health challenges. They include health insurance through NJ FamilyCare or Medicaid, food assistance through NJ SNAP, independent living supports, personal care services, and much more.

Borough of Wharton

Wharton is a community of approximately 7,346 residents in the highlands of Morris County. Wharton is located between Routes 15, 46 and 80, stretching south from the main entrance of Picatinny Arsenal, a major army research and development center, to Route 46 abounded on the west by Roxbury Township and the east by Dover and Rockaway Township. The Borough is approximately 2.2 square miles.

Town Hall Office Hours
8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday thru Friday

Town Hall is open until 7:30 p.m the second Thursday of the month (except for certain election weeks) and closes at 12:30 p.m. on the second Friday of the month.
