Advancing Opportunities is a non-profit organization offering free social and recreational opportunities for adults and children with disabilities. Children and Adults living in Morris, Sussex, and Warren counties who are registered with the Division of Children and Families (DCF) or the Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). The Renegades Lacrosse program serves players in grades K-8 in the Morris Hills and Morris Knolls sending districts. This includes Rockaway Township, Denville, Rockaway Borough and Wharton. Click here for more information.
The Borough offers a free summer recreation program for resident children age 5 through eight grade. It is held at the Robert Street Park beginning the first full week in July and ending the second week of August, and is from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The program offers arts, crafts, sports and other fun filled activities. Registration is required.
