Winter Storm Information

A few things to remember with winter storms-

  • Keep up with the often-changing forecast  here.
  • Do not park on the roadways during inclement weather. If you do not have a parking space contact the Police Department non-emergency number during business hours 8:30am-4:30pm  at 973-366-5893 to get permission to park in a Municipal Lot overnight.
  • When clearing snow from your driveway or sidewalk do not deposit it in the roadway.
  • Sidewalks must be cleared within 24 hours after the cessation of snowfall.
  • Consider helping your neighbors who are seniors or disabled with snow removal if you are able to.
  • Stay inside if you can and if you need to be out, please use caution and slow down.

Borough of Wharton

Wharton is a community of approximately 7,346 residents in the highlands of Morris County. Wharton is located between Routes 15, 46 and 80, stretching south from the main entrance of Picatinny Arsenal, a major army research and development center, to Route 46 abounded on the west by Roxbury Township and the east by Dover and Rockaway Township. The Borough is approximately 2.2 square miles.

Town Hall Office Hours
8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday thru Friday

Town Hall is open until 7:30 p.m the second Thursday of the month (except for certain election weeks) and closes at 12:30 p.m. on the second Friday of the month.
